Nei prati di Malga Millegrobbe un’altra opera di Marco Martalar
Un grande cervo di legna, dalle forme sinuose, primordiali e leggere, che si staglia con il suo palco tra le montagne del Trentino. È “Cervo di Vaia”, scultura in legno che si trova a 1.400 metri di quota, in località Millegrobbe sull’Alpe di Cimbra, a 2 km da Luserna.
Anche in questo caso, l’autore dell’opera è dello scultore Marco Martalar, autore nel 2021 del famoso Drago di Vaia, purtroppo incendiato nell'agosto 2023, dalle cui ceneri è nato il Drago Vaia Regeneration, la grande Lupa del Lagorai, l'Aquila di Vaia, il Grifone del Tesino e l'Orsa del Pradel.
Per realizzare il Cervo di Vaia, lo scultore è partito dagli alberi distrutti dalla tempesta Vaia, che si è abbattuta sul Trentino nell’ottobre del 2018. Martalar ha ridato vita al legno raso al suolo da quella devastazione, realizzando un’opera d’arte fatta a mano, che cambia con il variare del tempo e delle stagioni.
Il Cervo di Vaia si trova sui prati di Millegrobbe, è visitabile liberamente ed è facilmente raggiungibile in auto, a pochi passi dal parcheggio della Malga Millegrobbe.

In the meadows of Malga Millegrobbe stands another work by Marco Martalar.
A large wooden deer, with flowing, primal and light shapes, rises with its antlers against the mountains of Trentino. It is the “Vaia Deer,” a wooden sculpture located at 1,400 meters above sea level, in the area of Millegrobbe on the Alpe Cimbra, about 2 km from Luserna.
Once again, the artist behind the work is the sculptor Marco Martalar, also known for creating in 2021 the famous Vaia Dragon, which was unfortunately destroyed by fire in August 2023. From its ashes, new creations were born: the Vaia Dragon Regeneration, the great Lagorai Wolf, the Vaia Eagle, the Tesino Griffin, and the Pradel Bear.
To create the Vaia Deer, the artist used wood from trees brought down by Storm Vaia, which struck Trentino in October 2018. Martalar gave new life to the timber flattened by the storm, crafting a handmade work of art that evolves with time and the changing seasons.
The Vaia Deer is located in the meadows of Millegrobbe, is freely accessible, and can be easily reached by car, just a short walk from the Malga Millegrobbe parking area.

Auf den Wiesen der Malga Millegrobbe befindet sich ein weiteres Werk von Marco Martalar.
Ein großer Hirsch aus Holz, mit geschwungenen, ursprünglichen und leichten Formen, erhebt sich mit seinem Geweih vor der Bergkulisse des Trentino. Es handelt sich um den „Vaia-Hirsch“, eine Holzskulptur auf etwa 1.400 Metern Höhe in der Ortschaft Millegrobbe auf der Alpe Cimbra, rund 2 km von Luserna entfernt.
Auch in diesem Fall stammt das Werk vom Bildhauer Marco Martalar, der 2021 auch den bekannten Vaia-Drachen geschaffen hat, der leider im August 2023 durch ein Feuer zerstört wurde. Aus seiner Asche entstanden neue Werke: der Vaia Dragon Regeneration, die große Lagorai-Wölfin, der Vaia-Adler, der Tesino-Greif und die Pradel-Bärin.
Für die Realisierung des Vaia-Hirsches verwendete der Künstler Holz von Bäumen, die durch den Sturm Vaia gefällt wurden, der im Oktober 2018 das Trentino traf. Martalar gab dem durch die Verwüstung zerstörten Holz neues Leben und schuf ein handgefertigtes Kunstwerk, das sich im Laufe der Zeit und mit den Jahreszeiten verändert.
Der Vaia-Hirsch befindet sich auf den Wiesen von Millegrobbe, ist frei zugänglich und bequem mit dem Auto erreichbar, nur wenige Schritte vom Parkplatz der Malga Millegrobbe entfernt.
