Il castello, il più vasto complesso fortificato del Trentino, si estende sulla sommità del dosso omonimo, occupando una posizione di grande rilievo strategico per il controllo della Vallagarina e delle vie di comunicazione tra l’Impero Germanico e la penisola italiana.
Di origini medievali, la fortezza subì nella prima metà del Cinquecento una profonda ristrutturazione che le conferì l’attuale aspetto.
È oggi teatro di spettacoli e importanti rievocazioni storiche.

The castle is the largest fortified complex in Trentino and extends at the top of the homonymous hill, occupying a position of great strategic importance for the control of Vallagarina and the communication routes between the German Empire and the Italian peninsula.
Of medieval origins, the fortress underwent a profound restructuring in the first half of the sixteenth century that gave it its current appearance.
Today it hosts performances and significant historical reenactments.

Das Schloss ist die größte Festungsanlage des Trentino und erstreckt sich auf der Spitze des gleichnamigen Hügels. Es war von großer strategischer Bedeutung für die Kontrolle des Vallagarina und der Verbindungswege zwischen dem Deutschen Reich und der italienischen Halbinsel.
Die Festung ist mittelalterlichen Ursprungs und wurde in der ersten Hälfte des 16. Jahrhunderts grundlegend umgebaut, wodurch sie ihr heutiges Aussehen erhielt.
Heute finden hier Aufführungen und bedeutende historische Nachstellungen statt.
