Monte Censo - Escursione panoramica sul lago d'Idro

Il Monte Censo è una meta panoramica facilmente accessibile, ideale per chi desidera ammirare dall’alto il suggestivo Lago d’Idro. Si tratta di un’escursione semplice, adatta anche a chi non ha grande esperienza, con l’unica raccomandazione di portare acqua a sufficienza, poiché lungo il percorso non sono presenti fonti.
L’itinerario inizia in Val Sabbia, in provincia di Brescia. Raggiunto il Lago d’Idro, nei pressi di Anfo si imbocca la strada in direzione Passo Maniva. Dopo alcuni tornanti si arriva alla chiesa di Santa Petronilla, dove è possibile lasciare l’auto.
Dal parcheggio parte il sentiero n. 433, ben segnalato e facile da seguire. Il percorso si sviluppa inizialmente nel bosco, con ampi tornanti, per poi proseguire su un tratto panoramico a mezza costa che regala splendide viste sul lago.
Proseguendo, si raggiunge un bivio: deviando a destra si arriva al punto panoramico del Dosso del Monte Censo, da cui si possono osservare anche le fortificazioni della Rocca di Anfo. Tornati sul sentiero principale, si continua fino al bivio per Coca Chetoi, mantenendo la destra e affrontando gli ultimi tornanti che conducono alla vetta.
Dalla cima (1.012 m) si apre un panorama ampio e suggestivo sul lago, sulle montagne circostanti e sul versante trentino.
Per il rientro si segue lo stesso percorso dell’andata.

Monte Censo is an easily accessible panoramic peak, perfect for enjoying breathtaking views over Lake Idro. The hike is simple and suitable for everyone, even beginners. The only recommendation is to bring enough water, as there are no water sources along the route.
The itinerary starts in the Val Sabbia area, in the province of Brescia. Once you reach Lake Idro, near Anfo, follow the road towards Passo Maniva. After a series of hairpin bends, you will arrive at the Church of Santa Petronilla, where you can park your car.
From here, trail no. 433 begins. It is well-marked and easy to follow. The path initially winds through the forest with wide switchbacks, then continues along a scenic section with beautiful views over the lake.
Along the way, you will reach a junction: by turning right, you can access the panoramic viewpoint of Dosso del Monte Censo, from which you can also spot the fortifications of Rocca di Anfo. Returning to the main trail, continue towards the junction for Coca Chetoi, keeping to the right and following the final switchbacks up to the summit.
At the top (1,012 m), you can enjoy wide and stunning views over the lake, the surrounding mountains, and the Trentino side of the area.
For the descent, follow the same route back.

Der Monte Censo ist ein leicht erreichbarer Aussichtsgipfel, ideal, um einen herrlichen Blick auf den Idrosee zu genießen. Die Wanderung ist einfach und auch für Anfänger geeignet. Es wird lediglich empfohlen, ausreichend Wasser mitzunehmen, da es entlang des Weges keine Quellen gibt.
Die Route beginnt im Val Sabbia in der Provinz Brescia. Nachdem man den Idrosee erreicht hat, biegt man bei Anfo in Richtung Passo Maniva ab. Nach einigen Serpentinen gelangt man zur Kirche Santa Petronilla, wo man parken kann.
Von dort startet der gut ausgeschilderte Weg Nr. 433, der leicht zu folgen ist. Zunächst führt der Weg durch den Wald mit weiten Kehren, anschließend verläuft er auf einem aussichtsreichen Abschnitt mit schönen Blicken auf den See.
Unterwegs erreicht man eine Abzweigung: Hält man sich rechts, gelangt man zum Aussichtspunkt Dosso del Monte Censo, von dem aus auch die Festungsanlagen der Rocca di Anfo sichtbar sind. Zurück auf dem Hauptweg folgt man diesem weiter bis zur Abzweigung nach Coca Chetoi, hält sich rechts und erreicht über weitere Serpentinen den Gipfel.
Auf dem Gipfel (1.012 m) eröffnet sich ein beeindruckendes Panorama über den See, die umliegenden Berge und den Trentiner Teil der Region.
Der Rückweg erfolgt über die gleiche Strecke.
