La Ciclabile del Mincio è uno dei percorsi cicloturistici più apprezzati nei dintorni del Lago di Garda, perfetto per chi desidera pedalare immerso nella natura lungo un itinerario semplice e panoramico. Il tracciato si sviluppa per circa 41 chilometri tra Peschiera del Garda e Mantova, seguendo il corso del fiume Mincio attraverso borghi storici, campagne e paesaggi rilassanti.
Punto di partenza
Dal centro storico di Peschiera del Garda raggiungi Porta Brescia. Dopo aver attraversato il ponte, continua lungo la salita sulla sinistra in direzione del campo sportivo. Poco dopo troverai il sentiero che scende verso il fiume Mincio: da qui inizia la pista ciclabile.
Borghetto sul Mincio: il primo borgo da scoprire
Dopo circa 15 chilometri si arriva a Borghetto sul Mincio, uno dei borghi più caratteristici della zona. Antichi mulini, ponticelli e scorci sul fiume creano un’atmosfera suggestiva, ideale per una sosta.
Attraversando il Ponte Visconteo si raggiunge Valeggio sul Mincio, dove meritano una visita il Castello Scaligero e il celebre Parco Giardino Sigurtà, conosciuto per i suoi ampi spazi verdi e le spettacolari fioriture stagionali.
Da Valeggio a Mantova
Per chi desidera proseguire, il percorso continua per circa 22 chilometri fino a Mantova, città rinascimentale riconosciuta come Patrimonio UNESCO.
Lungo il tragitto si incontra Pozzolo, punto in cui è possibile scegliere se continuare sulla ciclovia che segue il canale scaricatore oppure uscire dal percorso principale e seguire il corso del fiume passando da Goito.
A Goito è possibile partecipare a diverse attività outdoor dedicate al territorio, tra cui escursioni in bicicletta e discese in canoa lungo il Mincio.
Come tornare a Peschiera del Garda
Una volta arrivati a Mantova, il ritorno può essere organizzato in diversi modi:

tornare in bicicletta percorrendo nuovamente la Ciclabile del Mincio;

utilizzare il treno con cambio a Verona Porta Nuova prima di raggiungere Peschiera del Garda;

Borghetto sul Mincio – Volta Mantovana – Castellaro Lagusello – Peschiera del Garda
Un’altra variante interessante conduce verso Volta Mantovana e il borgo medievale di Castellaro Lagusello, circondato dalle colline moreniche. Da qui si rientra verso Peschiera lungo strade poco trafficate immerse nel verde.

Borghetto sul Mincio: the first village to discover
After around 15 kilometers, you will reach Borghetto sul Mincio, one of the most charming villages in the area. Historic watermills, small bridges, and scenic river views create a unique and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a break.
Crossing the Visconti Bridge, you will arrive in Valeggio sul Mincio, where you can visit the Scaliger Castle and the famous Sigurtà Garden Park, renowned for its vast green spaces and spectacular seasonal blooms.
From Valeggio to Mantua
For those wishing to continue, the route extends for another 22 kilometers to Mantua, a Renaissance city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Along the way, you will pass through Pozzolo, where you can choose either to remain on the cycle route following the canal or leave the main path and continue along the river through the town of Goito.
In Goito, visitors can enjoy several outdoor activities, including cycling excursions and canoe trips along the Mincio River.
Returning to Peschiera del Garda
Once in Mantua, there are several options for returning:

cycle back along the same Mincio Cycle Path;

take the train with a transfer at Verona Porta Nuova before continuing to Peschiera del Garda;

Borghetto sul Mincio: das erste Dorf entlang der Strecke
Nach ungefähr 15 Kilometern erreichst du Borghetto sul Mincio, eines der schönsten Dörfer der Region. Historische Mühlen, kleine Brücken und idyllische Ausblicke auf den Fluss sorgen für eine besondere Atmosphäre und laden zu einer Pause ein.
Über die Visconti-Brücke gelangst du nach Valeggio sul Mincio. Dort lohnen sich ein Besuch der Scaligerburg sowie des berühmten Parco Giardino Sigurtà, der für seine weitläufigen Grünflächen und beeindruckenden Blumenanlagen bekannt ist.
Von Valeggio nach Mantua
Wer weiterfahren möchte, kann die Strecke weitere 22 Kilometer bis nach Mantua fortsetzen – einer bedeutenden Renaissance-Stadt und UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe.
Unterwegs erreichst du Pozzolo, wo du entscheiden kannst, ob du dem Radweg entlang des Kanals folgen oder die Hauptroute verlassen und entlang des Flusses über Goito weiterfahren möchtest.
In Goito werden verschiedene Outdoor-Aktivitäten angeboten, darunter Fahrradtouren und Kanufahrten auf dem Mincio.
Rückfahrt nach Peschiera del Garda
Für die Rückfahrt stehen verschiedene Möglichkeiten zur Verfügung:
