Anello di Brentonico - 1940

 

Dal centro di Brentonico il percorso raggiunge su strada asfaltata il paese di Saccone, attraversando i pascoli attorno alle frazioni. Da qui la salita avviene su strada sterrata, all’interno di grandi boschi di faggio fino alla località Polsa. Proseguendo oltre il panorama si apre sulla valle dell’Adige, dove lo sguardo può spaziare dall’ampio panorama dell’Altopiano dei Lessini fino a Verona. Lungo il percorso si incontrano numerose testimonianze del primo conflitto mondiale, come costruzioni, ruderi, trincee, realizzati in questa zona sia dall’esercito austro-ungarico che da quello italiano. Da S. Valentino il percorso scende verso S. Giacomo e da qui passando sopra Malga Mortigola prosegue in direzione di Festa per poi ritornare in breve al punto di partenza. Dal percorso principale si diramano numerose varianti che consentono di adattare l’escursione nel modo più gradevole per l’ospite.

A highly rewarding ride through forests, alpine huts, and stunning panoramic views, with the possibility of choosing among numerous route variations.

From the center of Brentonico, the route follows a paved road to the village of Saccone, crossing the pastures around the hamlets. From here, the climb continues on an unpaved road through vast beech forests up to the locality of Polsa. Continuing onward, the landscape opens onto the Adige Valley, with views stretching from the wide panorama of the Lessinia Plateau all the way to Verona.
Along the route, there are numerous traces of the First World War, including buildings, ruins, and trenches built in this area by both the Austro-Hungarian and Italian armies. From San Valentino, the route descends toward San Giacomo and, passing above Malga Mortigola, continues toward Festa before quickly returning to the starting point. Numerous alternative routes branch off from the main itinerary, allowing visitors to customize the excursion in the most enjoyable way.

Eine äußerst lohnende Radtour durch Wälder, Almhütten und herrliche Panoramablicke mit der Möglichkeit, zwischen zahlreichen Varianten zu wählen.

Vom Zentrum von Brentonico führt die Strecke auf asphaltierter Straße zum Dorf Saccone und durchquert dabei die Weiden rund um die kleinen Ortschaften. Von hier aus erfolgt der Anstieg auf einer Schotterstraße durch große Buchenwälder bis nach Polsa. Danach öffnet sich der Blick auf das Etschtal, mit einem weiten Panorama von der Lessinia Plateau bis nach Verona.
Entlang der Strecke begegnet man zahlreichen Zeugnissen des Ersten Weltkriegs, darunter Bauwerke, Ruinen und Schützengräben, die in diesem Gebiet sowohl von der österreichisch-ungarischen als auch von der italienischen Armee errichtet wurden. Von San Valentino führt die Strecke hinab nach San Giacomo und verläuft oberhalb der Malga Mortigola weiter in Richtung Festa, bevor sie in kurzer Zeit wieder zum Ausgangspunkt zurückkehrt. Vom Hauptweg zweigen zahlreiche Varianten ab, die es dem Gast ermöglichen, die Tour ganz nach den eigenen Vorlieben zu gestalten.
