Il piccolo Santuario della Madonna della Valle fu fondato nel XVIII secolo ed è immerso in una valletta circondata da cipressi secolari. Da qui si può ammirare il panorama del Golfo di Salò, distante appena 3 km. Il santuario è meta ideale per passeggiate e gite all’aperto, e prende il nome dal piccolo corso d’acqua che scorre accanto.

L’accesso avviene tramite un caratteristico ponte pedonale. La leggenda narra che la Madonna sia apparsa in una grotta lasciando l’impronta del suo piede su una pietra, evento commemorato con la costruzione del santuario.

Il dipinto della Vergine, realizzato da Martino Martinazzoli da Anfo nel XVI secolo, è stato trasferito in un luogo più sicuro. Nel XIX e XX secolo furono eseguiti lavori di ampliamento, seguiti da ulteriori restauri a causa di cedimenti del terreno verificatisi nel 1966/67.

Durante l’estate, si celebra ancora una messa infrasettimanale, frequentata dai fedeli di Renzano e delle frazioni di Roè Volciano affacciate sulla valle. L’afflusso maggiore di pellegrini si nota soprattutto durante la tradizionale Pasquetta, quando il piazzale antistante si anima con i colori dei banchi degli ambulanti, dei gruppi che fanno escursioni sui monti circostanti o picnic tra l’erba e i boschetti della zona.

The small Santuario della Madonna della Valle was founded in the 18th century and is nestled in a valley surrounded by centuries-old cypress trees. From here, visitors can enjoy views of the Gulf of Salò, only 3 km away. The sanctuary is a popular destination for walks and outdoor excursions, and its name comes from the small stream that runs alongside it.

Access is via a charming pedestrian bridge. Legend has it that the Madonna appeared in a cave and left the imprint of her foot on a stone, an event commemorated by the construction of the sanctuary.

The painting of the Virgin, created by Martino Martinazzoli from Anfo in the 16th century, has been moved to a safer location. Expansion work was carried out in the 19th and 20th centuries, followed by further restorations due to ground subsidence in 1966/67.

During the summer, a midweek Mass is still celebrated, attended by the faithful from Renzano and the hamlets of Roè Volciano overlooking the valley. The highest number of pilgrims is seen during the traditional Easter Monday celebration, when the square in front of the sanctuary comes alive with the colors of market stalls, hikers exploring the surrounding hills, and groups enjoying picnics on the grass and under the shady woods.

Der kleine Santuario della Madonna della Valle wurde im 18. Jahrhundert gegründet und liegt in einem Tal, umgeben von jahrhundertealten Zypressen. Von hier aus bietet sich ein schöner Blick auf den Golf von Salò, nur 3 km entfernt. Das Heiligtum ist ein beliebtes Ziel für Spaziergänge und Ausflüge, und sein Name leitet sich von dem kleinen Bach ab, der daneben verläuft.

Der Zugang erfolgt über eine malerische Fußgängerbrücke. Einer Legende zufolge erschien die Madonna in einer Höhle und hinterließ den Abdruck ihres Fußes auf einem Stein, ein Ereignis, das mit dem Bau des Heiligtums erinnert wird.

Das Gemälde der Jungfrau, geschaffen von Martino Martinazzoli aus Anfo im 16. Jahrhundert, wurde an einen sichereren Ort gebracht. Im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert wurden Erweiterungsarbeiten durchgeführt, gefolgt von weiteren Restaurierungen aufgrund von Bodensenkungen in den Jahren 1966/67.

Im Sommer wird noch immer eine Wochentagsmesse gefeiert, die von Gläubigen aus Renzano und den Ortsteilen von Roè Volciano besucht wird, die über das Tal blicken. Die größte Pilgerzahl zeigt sich während der traditionellen Ostermontagsfeier, wenn der Platz vor dem Heiligtum mit den Farben der Marktstände, Wandergruppen in den umliegenden Hügeln und Picknickgruppen auf der Wiese und im schattigen Wald belebt ist.
