Chiesa della Madonna delle Vittorie
Via Linfano Arco TN
EN
The small church is located in the southern part of the Arco area, between the height of Mount Brione and the Sarca river, a short distance from Lake Garda and faces west.
The name of Madonna delle Vittorie could be linked to a military fact, that is to a victory of the Serenissima Republic of Venice which dominated the territory until 1509.
The gabled facade is simple with two slopes and an architraved portal.
The small bell tower is located in an advanced position on the left side of the church roof.
A small wall painting commemorates the five members of the Lombard Volunteer Corps who fell during the battle of Linfano on 18 April 1848.
The internal nave is unique with a cross vault.
Frescoes attributed to Giovanni Antonio Zanoni are preserved both inside and outside.
