Situati proprio sotto al Monte Paganella, i laghi di Lamar, un tempo uniti tra loro, sono stati separati da una frana che ha originato due bacini distinti: il lago Santo a sud e il lago di Lamar a nord. Quest’ultimo è uno specchio d’acqua trasparentissimo circondato dal bosco e da rocce cangianti, con un’ampia spiaggia prativa sul lato occidentale. Le sue acque verdi sono meta turistica e luogo di relax. Entrambi i laghi sono soggetti a fenomeni carsici, proprio come il lago di Terlago, appena un paio di chilometri più a valle.
La particolare bellezza e la varia fauna ittica che caratterizzano questi laghetti, inseriti nelle vaste faggete di questo versante della Paganella, li rendono estremamente interessanti sia fra i naturalisti che fra i pescatori. La zona dei due laghi è inoltre un punto di partenza per suggestivi itinerari che si snodano sino alla vetta della Paganella.

At the foot of  Mount Paganella lie the lakes of Lamar. Long time ago a wide single basin  was separated by a landslide, giving birth to Lake Santo to the south and Lake Lamar to the north. The latter is a very transparent expanse of water surrounded by woods and iridescent rocks, with a large grassy beach on the western side. Its  green waters  are a tourist attractio,  and a lovely place to relax. Both lakes are subject to karstic phenomena, with the natural creation of caves and tunnels,  just like Lake Terlago, just a couple of kilometers further downstream.

The particular beauty and the varied fish fauna that characterize these lakes, inserted in the vast beech woods of this side of the Paganella, make them extremely interesting both among naturalists and fishermen. The area of ​​the two lakes is also a starting point for suggestive itineraries that wind up to the top of Paganella.
