The Archducal Park of Arco is also called Arboretum, meaning "botanical garden". Around 1872 the park was created as a green area of the villa of the Archduke Albert of Habsburg, who spent the winter months in Arco at that time. Inside there are tree and shrub species. Most of the plants are evergreen, to beautify the villa even in winter.
Inside the park you can admire the Californian cypresses, the holm oaks, the evergreen sequoia, the Lawson cypress, the mammoth tree. In the northern part of the park there are greenhouses with various citrus fruits.
The mild climate of Upper Garda favors the growth of 150 species of trees and shrubs from all over the world, with a prevalence of Mediterranean and subtropical plants. Inside a pond with goldfish and koi carp and turtles. Looking up to the right, it is possible to see the castle of Arco.
